Ray Flores studied at the Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico, Texas Christian University, & Rutgers University, earning a Master’s Degree in Music from Rutgers University. Mr. Flores was the Principal Bass Trombone player in the Bayamon Symphony Orchestra, Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, New Brunswick. He was also played Bass Trombone for the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, San Juan, the Puerto Rican Trombone Ensemble, the Eastern Wind Ensemble, and many more esteemed ensembles.
Before teaching at Manasquan Music & Dance Academy, Mr. Flores spent time studying at the aforementioned universities, performing in ensembles, and teaching private lessons to students in Puerto Rico, Texas, and New Jersey. He has years of experience teaching lessons to students of all ages as well as students with disabilities, such as blindness or autism. Ray Flores received many awards for his music abilties including winning the 2011 Edward Kleinhammer Orchestral Bass Trombone Competition in Nashville. Mr. Flores also performed in the 2009 production of In the Heights and worked with PSB, performing Spanish translated Broadway performances.
