Tessa O’Boyle is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist and educator from New Jersey. Her active music career has allowed her to perform at various private events and amusement parks including Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens and Morey’s Pier. Her diverse style ability has helped her play in groups including German polka bands, brass bands and pop cover groups. Tessa is currently a member of the classic rock cover band “Mad Man Moon”.
Tessa attended Manasquan High School where she served as Field Captain and then Drum Major for the marching band. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music with minors in Music History and Jazz Studies from Kutztown University. While at Kutztown she participated in the Marching Band, Saxophone Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Bands. She ran her own student big band that met weekly to sight read charts called “The Monday Night Band.”
As an educator Tessa has taught Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet to students of all levels. She has over 8 years of private teaching experience. Tessa’s private students have had much success with auditioning for county and honors bands. Tessa believes that the most rewarding part about teaching lessons is seeing the students thrive and become prosperous in their individual music programs and beyond. She looks forward to helping many more students from Manasquan Music Academy.
