Amanda Galluzzo, Voice

Amanda Galluzzo is a NJ based operatic soprano, classical soloist, and voice teacher. She is a graduate of Ithaca College’s Ford Music School, with a Bachelor’s in Voice Performance. In 2018, she received her Master’s degree in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, often ranked as one of the best conservatories for opera in the world. She studies under the teacher for the San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program, and SFCM Voice Chair, Cesar Ulloa, who has frequented the Metropolitan Opera, Opera de Montreal, and Opera Tel Aviv. Often described as well-rounded, Amanda is not only focused on opera, but on musical theater, contemporary pop music, and classical art song. She began singing from a young age in choruses, and began to participate in competitive musical theater programs, such as ShowKids Invitational Theater (SKIT) in Hunterdon County, NJ. She was very well received in SKIT’s productions, and in her final year before college, was nominated for a NJ Perry Award for her performance of Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Amanda went on to sing many scenes from classic operas in college, furthering her studies by singing in Italy and Germany. She remains a diligent student of vocal technique. She made her professional debut in an opera in 2018, with the Eastern Opera of NJ, as a singer in Manon Lescaut. She is currently an active teacher-performer, hoping to help her own students develop into successful singers, and prepare them for their future singing endeavors. Amanda believes that anyone can sing, and in her own studio focuses on the techniques used to create sound in an efficient, healthy way.
