Tess O’Boyle, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone
Tessa O’Boyle is a local to Manasquan, She attended Manasquan Elementary and High School. She participated in the concert and jazz bands and the Warrior Marching Band where she served as Field Captain then Drum Major. She went to college at Kutztown University in PA where she received a degree in Commercial Music. A relatively new degree, the idea of Commercial Music is a combination of performance, business, and working in the current music industry. As a saxophone major she also has extensive experience on flute and clarinet. She studied Classical Saxophone under Dr. Jeremy Justeson and Jazz Saxophone under Adam Kolker, Flute under Dr. Susanna Loewy and Clarinet under Dr. Soo Goh. She has done a multitude of pit orchestras for musicals and most recently has been employed at various amusement parks in Virginia, including Busch Gardens, playing in marching bands and show bands for months at a time.
Her teaching experience started in 2013. She has experience with woodwind students of various ages and skill levels. Currently she is teaching Saxophone, Flute and Clarinet lessons at MMDA since the beginning of 2019.
