Mary Fairchild

Mary’s dance training began at age 7 and for more than 12 years studied dance at Dance for Joy in Brielle, NJ. Mary has attended workshops with Alvin Ailey and Joffrey Ballet, as well as with professional dancers such as Keith Turk from “So You Think You Can Dance” and Broadway star Rachelle “Sas” Rak. She has been training with Laraine Kauffman, MMDA’s inspiring Dance Director, and aspires to be just like her. Mary really enjoys working with the pre-school and nursery children. Additionally, Mary has studied musical theater, participating in musicals such as “Isaiah” at the Strand Theater in Lakewood, and helped direct a children’s theater in Bay Head. During her teen years, she was a member and Assistant Director/Tech of Real Faith TV for five years. Attending college with a Science and Fine Arts degree, Mary’s art work has been published in books and has been in galleries at her college.  She likes to bring a more creative side to dance, and is hoping to be a positive role model to her peers and students. Mary is grateful to be a part of such a wonderful dance community like MMDA, where the spirit of family shows “not just through conversation, but through dance!”
