Competition Team Audition - September 21st 2019 1-3pm

Every year, we hold formal auditions for dancers who wish to participate on our competitive dance team. Dancers are evaluated through these auditions and are selected by the instructors. The final decisions are made by our dance director.

At MMDA, our focus is on dance education and our objective is to help dancers secure placement in a collegiate dance program and/or provide the training to ensure they become employable dancers as adults.

Though no one attends dance competitions to “lose,” winning trophies is not our goal! Our goal is to provide our dancers with the tools to grow both individually and collectively. Our dancers are always challenged with various styles of choreography with the intent of gaining dance skills and technique that can be utilized in the dance world!

Competitive dance, like any competitive sport, is both expensive and time consuming. Families with children who dance competitively must be prepared for the time, attention and financial expenses that is required of them. They must be committed to a demanding schedule which includes attending rehearsals, and competitions.

Our faculty consists of highly trained, professional dancers with years of experience whom all know what it takes to train a competitive dancer.

We provide multiple performance opportunities throughout the year allowing our competition dancers to showcase what they’ve been working on. These include special numbers at Wall Fair, Manasquan Firemen’s Fair, Manasquan Candy Cane Hunt, Wall Tree Lighting, Holiday Nursing Home performance, annual Spring Recital at Algonquin Arts Theatre & More.

Take your dance to the next level and join the

Manasquan Music & Dance Academy Dance Competition Team!
