Anita’s extensive training began in Liege, Belgium at the Conservatoire Royal de Liege where she studied classic jazz and modern. She continued her jazz/funk studies at Bobby’s in Liege as well as at Studio Jam in Brussels. It was in Belgium that Anita performed with Studio Jam in performances including West Side Story (hip hop version), Hip Hop High School, Hollywood Dance, and a Michael Jackson tribute. Additionally, Anita performed with the “Jam Troop” tours in both Paris and Orlando Disneyland. As Artistic Director and Choreographer at New Studio Jam in Brussels, Anita created comprehensive works such as Peter Pan, Romeo and Juliet and Alice in Wonderland performed at Cirque Royal and the Theatre of Woluwe- Saint-Pierre in Brussels. Anita was also the Artistic Director and Choreographer for the Studio Jam Youth Division in Geneva, Switzerland and the Positive Discrimination Program in Liege, Belgium where she created projects for at-risk youth to engage in artistic events in collaboration with the Liege Philharmonic and RTBF TV. Here in NJ, Anita built the Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance departments at Dancers’ Pointe in Howell and has received many awards for her competitive winning choreography.
